Ray Charles
24x48 Acrylic on plywood.
Another in a series of black and white paint only originals. This image is from one of Ray's many album covers, so the image is not entirely original.
Charlie Parker/Blues Sax Player
24x28 Acrylic on 1/2 inch plywood
One of the great blues/jazz sax players. I painted the wood solid black and used only white acrylic paint for the highlights....this is becoming on of my favorite style of paintings lately......
Song of Solomon
11x14 Acrylic on stretched canvas
Another in a series of paintings inspired by our church pastor. We did a 2 month long series discussing what the Bible says about relationships, love and sex. This painting was the result of several sketches completed during the examination of the book of Solomon.
Melted Paino
48x24 Acrylic on Hardi Board
Jazz Trio
18x12 Acrylic on stretched cnavas.
Once again, painting one of my favorite subjects. I did the initial sketch for this piece during a Lyle Lovette concert in Atlanta.
Bass Player
24x48 Acrylic on Hardi-board
A simple painting of a favorite subject.
Blues in The City
20x24 Acrylic on stretched canvas.
My wife and I both enjoy blues/jazz music and this was a birthday gift to my wife Cindy Waldrop. It now hangs in our hallway.
Abraham, Issac and the Angel
11x14 Acrylic on stretched Canvas.
Inspired by a sermon series at our church, depicting the story of Biblical sacrifice between father and son.
