Smaller 2 glaze vase. I used Amaco LT-122 Dark Blue, thin applied on the inside and very think around the top edge, then Amaco LT-3 Old Pewter for the bottom outside stripe. Loving the results, so more to come soon!!!!

Drip Edge Vase #2. Interesting effects created when combining 2 different glazes and slightly over-firing the clay.
Larger Vase using Amaco White Art Clay and combining 2 different Amaco glazes. I made for interesting "oozing" effect down the side of the vase......I think I'll do more this way!!!

Rake Vase #1. Completed during a Raku workshop sponsored by the Kentuck Museum in Northport, Alabama. This was the 1st piece removed from the kiln. This is now something I'm going to start doing at home!!!! I love the results!

Coil building vases is something I've enjoyed since started pottery. I've also included a terra cotta face plaque that my son and I built too. Hope you enjoy. Comments welcome

Flower Vase #2

My second attempt at hand-building a flower looking vase. This vase's pedals are more straight up compared to the first attempt at this style vase. The inside is also a darker red when compared to the first attempt vase. Approx. 8-9 inches tall and 4-5 inches wide. Water tight and dishwasher safe.
